We're at the halfway point in our countdown to the first episode of 2024, and I cannot

wait for you to hear from your Formula One favorites this year. Now we're deep into car launch territory,

with Aston Martin becoming the sixth team

to unveil their contender for the new season.

So, on day 15, let's hear their team principal Mike Crack tell me about his relationship with

owner Lawrence Stroll and how being in charge of the team compares to his previous roles in engineering.

It's very different and I have to say you know I'm still finding my ways because I have not done the job before.

There is also not so many you know in a normal job

you touch the walls or you touch the the track limits and you quickly know where

where you are and what you can do here is a bit different you know where you are and what you can do.

Here is a bit different, you know, you don't really know,

can I move further in that area, can I push it further and further and further

until someone says stop.

So from that point of view, I'm still finding, you know, the areas where I can do more and maybe

we are also why I should do less.

Being an engineer, you always have the risk to go too deep into the technical

side and mix with our technical people. It's very enjoyable part of it obviously, but

you have to be really careful that you let people do their job.

I remember Ron Dennis once describing this paddock as a as a piranha club is that your

experience of it in terms of working with the other team principles, working with all of the stakeholders in Formula One?

Yeah, I think it is, there is a plate for lightness and plate colleagueness you know that makes you suspicious
