It's day 13 of our pre-season series and today's archive highlight comes from a driver who chose

supposedly unlucky number 13 as his race number, Venezuela's Pastor Maldonardo.

The 2012 Spanish Grand Prix was passed as day of days. He qualified second but was

promoted to pole position when Lewis Hamilton was penalized. That meant he'd be fighting for the

win with Fernando Alonzo who was driving a faster Ferrari. The majority of the 80,000 fans at

the track in Barcelona wanted a home victory but passed a new that he could win.

Come on. You know, this is a good chance for my career. Everyone was telling me, okay,

let's go for the podium. I had my wife, I had my family, my father was there.
