Today, in continuation of our mini series on three ways to make time for your spouse, we're going to be talking about way number two, which is

0:27.7

praying together routinely. So Dr. Kim, when we say routinely, how often are we talking here?

0:33.8

I would love to see couples to do it at least once a day. I mean, just for that becomes,

0:38.5

and I think the routine is a really good word, and not to become just something you check off as a box,

0:43.2

but I think the thing, you know, you brush your teeth every day. I mean, and there's benefits from

0:48.2

that. When you go to the dentist, you know, it doesn't take them forever, you get the plaque and

0:51.2

dirt out of your teeth because you've been brushing every day and flossing every day. I mean, I think it's a, that's probably not a great comparison. But

0:57.2

praying every day, build something in your marriage and doing that every day. Six months,

1:02.5

you're going to think, wow, look what's happened in our marriage since then and continue to do that

1:06.6

1:16.2

it has to be daily for it to be a regular part of your routine. And I think when it's a part of

1:20.3

your daily routine, it's harder to forget about it and to not do it. Whereas, you know,

1:25.9

if you only did it once a week or every other day,

1:27.9

it would be really easy to miss that every other day that you're supposed to do because it's not

1:32.2

part of your daily routine, but things that are part of your daily routine are going to get

1:35.6

actually done. It's like, yeah, like I try to work out three times a week, but I can't tell you

1:39.6

how many times it only happens once. But if I did it every day, it would happen a lot more often, you know,

1:46.1

and it would be harder to break that routine if it was a daily routine.
