Hi, my name is Father Mike Schmitz and this is Ascension Presents.

I talk to people who will kind of lament the fact that they feel like they can't pray

as often as they would like to pray.

In that, that makes complete sense.

I mean, because what do we hear?

We hear that it is essential to pray.

The Unification Jesus says in the Gospel, he says, when you pray, go to your room and

pray.

He says, hey, if you get around to praying, he's like, no, no, you're going to do it.

When you do it, do it like this.

That means we're going to need to take time away.

We need to set time aside and just have that one-on-one time with the Lord.

That is so good.

It's even to say whether that's 10 minutes or some people make an hour every day, that's

fantastic.

It's important to recognize that even if you pray an hour a day, even if your mother trees

of Calcutta, Saint Mother Tree of Calcutta, and you pray like three or four hours a day,

there are still 21 or 21 hours left in the day that you're not praying.

So is that like, well, I gave you my time now over here, Jesus, whether that was 10 minutes

or four hours.

But now the rest of the time is mine.

Like, isn't there a way to do what Scripture says, which is to pray without ceasing?
