Good morning everyone and welcome back to another morning with the Masters where we devote

ourselves to the Lord daily with you. Good morning you guys. We're picking up with day two of our

going through hard times devotional in the Bible app. There's a link to that in the description of

the podcast. If you guys want to follow along with us and as always I'm going to read the

scripture, then Tori is going to pick it with the Devo. Let's do it. The scripture is 1 Peter

chapter 1 verses 6 and 7 and it says this. So be truly glad there is a wonderful joy ahead even

though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is

genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold though your faith is far more precious

than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials it will bring you much

praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

The devotional is titled why we experience trials and it says when it comes to trials in our lives

one word that usually is at the forefront of our lips is why because trials are difficult,

painful and miserable we usually ask why is this happening to me and we almost never get the

answer we're looking for. They make us doubt what we believe because our own desires are being

tested. As we learned on day one Jesus taught us that we'd have trouble life is a Christ follower

isn't void of difficulty our world is fallen and broken with fallen and broken people who do

fallen and broken things of course there will be trials people will do things that will affect us

will do things that will affect others and ourselves we may not mean to but our actions

still cause pain in someone else's life maybe even our own here are a few reasons we go through

trials one spiritual development regardless of how trials enter our lives they can be used as a

tool to strengthen and develop our character and our faith when we go through things that test our

patients and resilience we can either work with the trial and allow it to strengthen us or we can
