makes a lot of us uncomfortable. Making this episode was a little bit uncomfortable, but I'm glad

we did it, and I think we have some interesting insights to share with you guys today.

I am a social work student, and I'm writing an essay about conversion therapy, and I'm a queer person.

And listening to this episode, it stopped me in my tracks, specifically the line when John said that he knows that God would

accept him if he lived a homosexual lifestyle, but he's sacrificing for a higher reward.

It just broke me down. I have so much sadness in my heart for John. I hope he finds peace.

I really do.

I also wanted to thank you for the recent podcast that you had with John, being a member

of the church as well and also a member of the LGBT community. I definitely went through

a lot of the same things that he went through. Hopefully he can keep moving forward with joy and choose the best paths for his life.
