That is Israeli military chief of staff lieutenant general Hertzia Levy,

apologizing for the strike that killed seven aid workers from the nonprofit-profit World Central Kitchen Monday.

It was a mistake that followed a misidentification at night during a war in a very complex

conditions.

It shouldn't have happened.

The charity said it had unloaded over 100 tons of food supplies at a warehouse in Central

Gaza when an Israeli strike hit its convoy. The nonprofit said

it had coordinated its movements with the Israeli military. Six foreign

nationals were among the seven aid workers killed, which sparked global outrage, including from the US.

Israel says it's investigating, and in a rare admission of fault, Prime Minister Benjamin

and Yahoo said Israel took responsibility for the attack.
