Vice President Kamala Harris is back in Chicago for day three of the Democratic National Convention after campaigning in Wisconsin last night.

The Democratic presidential nominee is expected to formally accept the nomination tomorrow and give a speech.

But tonight, her running made his

headlining and is expected to accept the party's nomination for vice president.

CNN's David Rhine has more. So Afoma this is Tim Walz's night here in Chicago as he continues to introduce

himself to the American people. The campaign says Walz is going to talk about his

path to the VP nomination starting with his childhood growing up in rural Nebraska.

Jane Kleb is that state's Democratic Party chair.

She told me his rise has fired up voters in her state.

Meanwhile former President Donald Trump and J.D. Vance have been

holding events at different battleground states all week. Today they have an event

scheduled in North Carolina. The latest talks for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and Gaza are taking place in

Cairo today. U.S. government officials are hammering out the final details of an agreement

that bridges the gaps between both sides.

Secretary of State Anthony Blinking, who traveled to the Middle East for the negotiations,

and other U.S. officials have declined to lay out what's in the proposal.

But the deal is structured in three phases

that would eventually include Israeli soldiers leaving Gaza.
