And I'm Jack Welch.

And today we get to talk about some of the most beautiful chapters in the whole canon of Scripture,

Third Nephi chapter 17 through 19.

These chapters are indeed a pinnacle, certainly the center of Third Nephi.

And it's amazing what we have here. I'm so humbled and thrilled to be able to talk about this and imagine what it must have been like. These experiences are still at the temple that we're talking about. Jesus spent that first day right there at the temple. We're just finishing up the first day and then we get to start the second day.

And we don't know exactly where the second day came, but I think they mostly came back to the same area.

And those who hadn't been there at the temple needed to be given those same kind of experiences

so they would be all brought together and up to speed with what's

happening here. So this is sacred material, and here they are in the presence of the resurrected

Lord. Overwhelming. And you can imagine here at the end of that first day, Jesus thought, well, I don't want to wear out my welcome,

and he was about to leave.

It sounds also like he had perceived their thoughts.

They were on stimulation overload.

They had tried to absorb everything, but they're to the point now where they can't take

any more, but they don't want him to leave.

They just can hardly bear the stand, the idea of him not being with them.

And they have these needs, especially they're sick and afflicted.

And he reaches out.

And so in the first chapter today, chapter 17, we have those wonderful healings.

And then in chapter 18, he says, now let's have

the sacrament so that they can now make a covenant. I don't want them to go home without having
