Hello my friends welcome back to Unshaken. I hope you have forgiven me from last week. It went a little longer than we had hoped but then again

Oh sorry not sorry it was the summer at the temple. Okay slash summer on, amazing stuff. Plus two additional chapters of chapter 15 and chapter 16 of third Nephi trying to make sense of this change versus constancy. The other sheep as well as the other other sheep. We had a lot to cover.

Today we have a lot less. So consider this week a reprieve, a break,

and yet it's such amazing material. The three chapters we have today in some ways are a bonus, okay?

35 17, 18, 19, and for many of you, I'm guessing that chapter 17 is one of your favorites in the entire book of Mormon

to see what Jesus does

Well, we we heard him teach last week, but to see him minister this week is absolutely breathtaking. To see what he does for the

poor and the sick, to see what he does for the children, to see some of the things that he institutes that are going to long outlive him as far as his time among the Nephites.

Today is really important material.

But what's amazing to me about it is that for the most part it's bonus.

I mean even chapter 17 with all of its glories

it doesn't seem like it was originally intended by the Savior to be there.

And once you realize that, it makes it all the more precious because it's so rare.

In terms of, like I said, it was not something that Jesus seemed to intend from the start. Let me back up and

explain what I mean by that. Where we ended last week, end of third Neapha chapter 16 is Jesus quoting

Isaiah. Okay?

Isaiah 52 verses 8 through 10,

magnificent passage that Abinadai had quoted as well.

It's almost this crescendo and symbol crash

putting an exclamation point on the end of the gathering of Israel.

The promises that God has made to bring his children home.

Perfect context to say it, right?
