Hello everybody, welcome back. I am Jared Halverson. This is Unshaken and first I just want to give a shout out to all of you.

It has been such a privilege for me to be able to study scripture with you and every comment you make and every like and share and review really helps to share the word with other people around you and so we're all in this thing together we get to be fellow students of scripture.

I love meeting you out in the world and just a chance to to revel in

our shared love of scripture. It's a beautiful thing. I'm grateful especially, well

I'll put it this way. I hope more than anything that not only are you learning content as we study together, but that your learning process, that you're mastering methodology, that you're learning how and not just what. I mentioned a few weeks ago that online now there's a free

master class on scripture study that I did with Deseret Book. Feel free to dive into that and

continue to hone your scripture study skills.

But my biggest prayer, honestly, is, well, I know a lot of electronics companies plan on planned obsolescence.

They're banking on you getting the next upgrade.

And so they plan in some strange way to make sure that this old one gets old before its time,

so you have to move on.

As a teacher, well, as a consumer, that's a bad thing.

But as a teacher, I think it's a good thing.

There's a bit of planned obsolescence on my part

where hopefully you outgrow me.

It's an honor again to study with you.

But as any parent knows, and any leader knows,

and any teacher knows, you're really trying to help

those that you're leading and teaching outgrow you.

Become more independent.
