Hey good morning my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset.

I wonder if you are familiar with this old hymn.

It goes something like this.

Holy, holy, holy, holy,

Lord God Almighty,

do you remember that song? Have you heard that in church? That's an old

hymn that just repeats the same word over and over and over throughout the song.

Holy, holy, holy. It's an echo of the words that are said by angels in the book of

revelation as they fly around the throne of God in heaven and they cry out to each other across the

expanse of the throne room. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty.

My friends, I believe that word, holy, is something we struggle to understand as human beings,

partly because it is so foreign to us.

It's a word that our tainted condition with sin and with the struggle of this life has a hard

time grasping because we can't relate to it very much.

The reason I bring this up is because Peter has been telling us about

the certainty of Jesus returned, the certainty of the facts that he is going to change

everything when he returns.

The heavens and the earth will pass away with a roar, he says.

The heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved.

The earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.

That's all 2nd Peter chapter 10, or chapter 3 verse 10.

And then in verse 11, he says,
