going to dig back into second Peter, chapter number one because Peter has just dug into his section where

he's telling us about his own experience with the supernatural and glorious person of Jesus Christ. natural and or idea, we are talking about a person, Jesus Christ who we can verify lived in human history

and did all these amazing things.

We could get into a discussion of how we can verify,

how we can know.

But that's really not the full measure

of what Peter's trying to say here.

Peter, like a witness in a courtroom.

It's just telling his readers what he experienced.

And he just referred to an experience

he had on a mountaintop with Jesus and with his two buddies James and John and they saw

Jesus transformed into his glorious appearance as God.

Now we in theological circles call this the mount of transfiguration because in the old

King James it says Jesus was transfigured before them and his appearance was glowing and white and was
