Welcome back friends. Time for you and for me to get our minds aligned with the

truth of God. Kerry Green here. I hope you are well. I am praying for you.

I'm praying that God will, through his divine nature, reveal himself to you in greater and greater ways that the church, who we are a part of will come alive with power and confidence and

faith in our Savior Jesus Christ and that he will be the focus of our lives in such a

way that it demonstrates to the world that he is alive and

that he's making changes in people even today and that others will be drawn to him

as a result. My friends we're looking at 2

Peter chapter 1 and we're moving into verse 5 today and I want to start by

asking you a question have you ever given 110% effort in something? I know that there's

probably many listeners who are quite accomplished at a particular skill.

Perhaps you're a musician, a pianist, a singer, a guitarist, something like that,

and you know what it means.

To put in the hours and hours and hours of practice needed, to get better.

And I think that imagery of a musician or an artist or even an athlete is very powerful for what we're going to talk about today because

there is an element of repeated practice that is needed in those particular disciplines.

And my friends, I want you to notice something in our passage today in Second

The same principle applies in life.
