Summary

Welcome to Day 6 of this morning meditation series on how to start your day in a way that can change your whole life. Today's practice layers the techniques you've learned so far into one simple, powerful sequence you can use anytime you want to shift your mood, sharpen your focus, and set a steady tone for the day. You'll combine affirmation, Energy Breath, Agri Mudra for adapting to change, and First Chakra grounding into a cohesive morning ritual that helps you feel clear, capable, and emotionally anchored. If you've enjoyed the series but want something you can rely on daily without overthinking it, this layered practice is your "go-to" morning reset—quick, effective, and deeply stabilizing.

ABOUT THIS WEEK'S SERIES

Welcome to a special meditation series all about how you start your day—because the first few minutes after you wake up can quietly shape your mood, your focus, your choices, and ultimately the direction of your life.

I created this series a few years ago, and I'm sharing it with you now as you finish out the first month of this year—because if you've been wanting a real shift, this is one of the most powerful places to begin.

Starting your day the right way isn't about being perfect or adding more to your to-do list; it's about creating a simple inner rhythm that helps you feel grounded, clear, and intentional before the world starts pulling at you. Over the next several days, you'll be guided through short, supportive practices designed to help you wake up your body, calm your mind, and set the emotional tone that can change everything.

This is day 6 of a 7-day meditation series, "Morning Meditation Series: Start Your Day Right and Change Your Life,"  episodes 2987-2993.

Choose one daily "reset cue"—each time you touch a door handle, open your phone, or sit down, take one long exhale (or one round of your day's breath). Track it with 7 checkmarks (one per day) and notice the moment your body starts to relax faster—proof your nervous system is learning.

Day 1:  Anxiety Reset Visualization

Day 2:  Affirmation: "I trust myself to meet this moment."

Day 4:  Prithi Mudra for clarity

Welcome to episode 2,992 of the Daily Meditation Podcast.

0:07.6

I'm Mary Meckley, and I welcome you to day six of this week's series.

0:14.6

This week's theme is How to Start Your Day.

0:19.3

How do you want to feel as you start each day? There's an overriding

0:24.1

feeling you may cultivate with your rituals. And this week has been all about helping you

0:34.7

select and practice rituals you choose for yourself.

0:40.3

I'm going to share with you as always some insight as you get ready to settle yourself down

0:47.3

and transition from whatever you were doing out there in the world to this more interiorized state as you meditate.

0:57.6

So in yesterday's episode, you explored how there are three different realities.

1:07.3

This is what psychologists consider that we have a physical reality, a mental reality, and an emotional reality, and that it's important to address all three.

1:21.4

And that's why I encourage you to create rituals that support you physically, mentally, and emotionally.

1:32.9

So this could be three different rituals that you do.

1:37.3

For example, physically you may exercise or mentally you may read books or listen to podcasts that enrich your mind or have meaningful

1:48.7

conversations with people.

1:51.3

Emotionally, and I mentioned in yesterday's episode that I think this is one of the most

1:56.0

important ways you can support yourself because your emotions often dictate your physical and your mental

2:06.6

state.

2:07.7

They often dictate your mood.

2:10.3

So when you can anchor your emotional state, you're able to feel more balanced. And one way you can support yourself emotionally

2:22.8

is by, of course, meditating, you're here right now doing that. Maybe talking with a friend

2:30.1

or a coach or therapist, maybe for you that is journaling.

2:36.1

I know many of you journal.
