Which brings us to our film review and our film review this week is Keeper. Keeper was released in 2025. It has 5.9 out of 10 on IMDB and 49% on rotten tomatoes.

A romantic anniversary trip to a secluded cabin turns sinister when a dark presence reveals itself, forcing a couple to confront the

property's haunting past. Before I get into this review, there are a few things more humbling than

being in a cinema screen for a late night screening of a horror film completely alone because that, that will show you

who you really are. And the only thing that is probably more humbling than that is being in a

cinema screen to watch a horror film alone late at night and somebody else comes in. it's just you and them that i will say will

test your metal you know and and as somebody who likes to think that they're not easily scared and

doesn't particularly find horror films for the most part scary uh yeah it was an it was an interesting

time for sure.

So let's get into the likes for this film.

So I actually really liked the setup for this,

both in terms of the like relationship between the two characters

and in terms of physical location, right?

So it's in a cabin in the middle of nowhere.

And they've been together for like a year. He is a doctor and she is an artist. There seems to be some sort of like discrepancy financially between them which seems to kind of cause some simmering tension. It's never really explicitly said, right? But it seems to kind of cause a bit of unsaid tension.

And there's just this weird, like unknowable, unsaid something in their relationship and you don't

quite know what it is, right? So the whole time, it's like you're not quite comfortable with each other
