Summary

Hi Beauties!
On this week's Five minute Friday Podcast of Beauty Bytes: Secrets of a Plastic Surgeon I am asking all green juice enthusiasts to discuss the numerous health benefits, improved digestion, weight loss, and boosted immunity this one drink has to offer. It is time for us to purge the bad bacteria out of our colon. New start to the New Year and I want to start incorporating more plant-based meals, especially after my podcast with my cardiologist friend Dr. Danielle Belardo. Green juice may not look appetizing, but it has become a national obsession. It offers both the nutrients and taste you're looking for! I personally enjoy adding kale, spinach, celery, and citrus fruits. Comment down below what your favorite recipes are, I'd love to try them out! If you have a question for something you’d like covered on the podcast, feel free to send me a DM or email [email protected] and I’d be happy to respond!

Well, hello, hello, guys. You're listening to Beauty Bites with Dr. K, Secrets of a Plastic Surgeon,

0:20.7

and it's time for a five-minute

0:22.2

Friday all about green juice. And you probably drink green juice. Maybe you haven't been drinking as

0:29.7

much lately, but since the holidays are over, I am going to go on a little bit of a cleanse

0:35.2

and not the kind where you torture yourself and you don't

0:38.0

eat anything all day, but this is the idea of purging some of the bad bacteria out of your

0:44.4

colon, adding a probiotic to your diet daily, and lots of vitamins and minerals and a fresh start to the

0:50.7

new year. In the month of December, I definitely had lots of sugary treats,

0:56.2

more fats and heavy proteins than normal, and that changes the biotic flora of your colon.

1:04.2

And I think it's so important to have lots of plant-based nutrition because it really improves the bacterial flora content of your

1:13.2

colon. Your digestive tract is so important for your overall health. Did you know that 80% of your

1:20.7

immune system lives in the walls of your GI digestive tract? You may not have known that,

1:26.7

but the lymphatic system in the digestive tract is so

1:30.0

important to your overall health. When we eat the right foods, the right type of bacteria

1:36.4

populates the colon and the immune system that lives in your digestive tract will thrive

1:42.2

and prosper and protect you. This month is January. I've

1:47.4

been so good about getting my physical organized, my blood work, a mammogram, a dental cleaning,

1:54.0

and next up is my eye check. And I want you guys to also take time this month to do that,

1:59.6

sort of a system reset, reboot, restart.

2:02.9

It's the right time of the year.

2:04.5

January is a good reminder month to do all of those things for yourself every year, once a

2:09.3

year.
