Hello, my name is Justin the Cluid. I'm here today with, good evening. Oh my God, it's Hitch himself in the room.

0:11.6

No, folks, it's Will Sloan. Ah, the greatest prank that Hitchcock ever pulled, making me think he was

0:16.7

Will Sloan. And you're listening to the important cinema clown. Oh, no, it is Will Sloan.

0:20.7

And this week,

0:21.6

we are talking about, for God's sake, at long last, the king of cinema, Mr. Director, Alfred Hitchcock.

0:28.7

The master of suspense, if you will. Why did it take us so long to get to this topic? Because

0:34.3

we needed to build our knowledge to finally add to the thousands of books out there

1:25.4

We should say that this topic is completely subjective to us, that we can't really add

1:33.0

anything to the Hitchcock scholarship in terms of getting a completely different perspective

1:38.1

on something.

1:39.0

So we can only come to it from our lives and look at these movies and go, are they bad?

1:45.0

We'll be parroting the received wisdom, as you would expect us to.

1:48.3

But we decided to pick a couple of movies that we think just by general consensus, just by

1:54.0

wetting our finger and putting in the air and seeing which way the winds were blowing,

1:58.1

seemed like ones that not a lot of people really like.

2:00.8

But before we get to that, Justin, what's your relationship with Alfred Hitchcock?
