we didn't want to be like relying on that income.

So we really focused his income on paying off the mortgage and then that

freed us up to do all kinds of things, like we moved to Hawaii for almost two years, and to also have

him take this like mini retirement and step away from that work that was so crazy.

It's kind of like going through a career transition where he's going to be doing something else entirely.

So reducing our monthly expenses was the goal and then we did that and then that really

freed us up. Our younger selves would never believe that this is our life right now.

While we are saving money and putting money away for the future, we're also trying to enjoy

our lives as much as we can. That's why we're here in Hawaii right now and trying to give our

kids on these awesome adventures.
