Today we look at Jesus' famous prayer for unity.

Why was this his foremost concern before going to the cross?

Yes indeed.

This is one of those.

Do I call it one of my favorite passages?

I don't know.

I find this passage, this prayer, the whole idea concept just captivates me.

This is the night that Jesus has arrested, the night that he's on his way, and he's on

his way to the cross.

He's just had a Passover Seder.

And he's just spent all this time having all kinds of conversation at the Passover Seder.

Let alone on the conversation we've been looking at for the last few chapters of John.

And in other gospels, we're told that they spend that Passover Seder arguing about who

is the greatest, like their standard, that kind of that very human.

And I try not to put that whenever I run into that phrase, I have tried throughout our

podcast to say like, yes, we can relate to this.

This is what we do.

This is what we do on Facebook, this is what we do on social media.

This is what we do at parties and social gatherings.

We try to figure out whose worldview is the greatest, whose identity we, I'm greater.

I'm greater.
