0:31.0	Now I want to bring in cult expert and therapist Rachel Bernstein via Zoom to get her perspective
0:38.0	because she was actually involved in understanding how all of this goes down.
0:44.0	Rachel, talk to us about what is the best way for the public at large, for parents or loved ones
0:50.0	to help those who are trapped in cults and organizations like Nexium.
0:56.0	I think it's a really important question because a lot of people do probably what is the worst
1:03.0	and they fall into a trap that's set by the cult leader.
1:06.0	And the trap is that if the family comes out against the group and against the teachings,
1:13.0	then it's defined as that these people are against you. They don't love you. They don't care about your success
1:19.0	and they don't care about your goals. And so parents have to actually do this in a very different way
1:25.0	that's quite counterintuitive. And they need to really confer with professionals who know how to strike up a conversation
1:34.0	without it seeming like they're against the person who they love and they don't push them farther in.
1:41.0	In addition to sharing the personal information that was being used as potential collateral damage,
1:46.0	many people also throw around the term brainwashing Rachel when they discuss these cults.
1:52.0	How does all that come to be?
1:55.0	It's an interesting thing because it doesn't happen right away. I mean, no one goes out to join a cult.
1:59.0	They don't know they've gotten involved in one. They're going to get involved in the executive success program,
2:05.0	which sounds very legitimate. And so what cults do is that they take you along steps.
