What have the Cinefiles and very excited to be walking back into one of my favorite films ever, Steve.

And now we're going to deal with the ramifications of what happened there.

It really is a brutal indeed and I'm glad we had a bit of an intermission to sort of reckon with it before returning once again to these spectacularly beautiful and opulent evidence of the buildings of the British Raj in India.

Forgive me gentlemen, but you must understand that his majesty's government and the British people repudiate both the massacre and the philosophy that prompted it.

We see we're at a meeting and Nehru and Jinnah and Gandhi are all there sitting at a big table and Gandhi very intensely says,

Strong statement putting it right on the table, Steve straight up saying you know any saying it is respectfully and as professionally as possible.

And he's saying it's just time, you know, and the British are still being like, well, we'll give you this and we'll give you that.

Is that enough? And he's like, no, you don't get it. Get the fuck out. You don't get it.

And contrast this guy with the young guy we met in South Africa.

I mean, he is so self-contained and confident and just speaking the truth.

Despite the best intentions of the best of you, you must in the nature of things. You really hate us to control us.

General Dyer is but an extreme example of the principle. It is time you left.

Yeah, and here's the thing. This is a fascinating philosophy or approach mentally, right? And for anybody who's listening.

These people have vilified what Dyer did. They're choosing or they're endeavoring to separate themselves from Dyer's actions.

When in fact, their mentality, their approach, their point of view, Dyer is the natural next step. It's an extension.
