Look at this as like a video game analogy and I don't play a lot of video games.

0:04.2

So I got to go back to like Super Mario to go way back. And you know, you got the little life bar. Sure. You know, that kind of runs across. So then that dials down. And with each training session, you kind of want to go into it with the fullest life bar that you possibly have. Wormed up normal. did my reverse grip stuff, and threw a piece on and tried benching like, I did one set of 10 with like six plates. And I was like, fuck this. So I just went down to five plates and another set of 10 that's a down set and then moved on. Yeah. And just kind of explore what you have here and just did things that we don't have at home and took advantage of it and just had fun and just played around some stuff and had a blast yeah now mentally you're cool with all that but there's listers out there and say even yourself 10 15 years ago how would you approach that same situation oh i'd have been i'd have been yeah i'd have been, yeah, I'd have been, uh, the situation.

0:54.6

I'd have been, uh, the situation.

0:54.7

All right.

0:55.1

I'd have been.

All right, guys, we're back with another episode of table talk. My guest today, again, is Jimmy Colb. He was on podcast 166. So check that out because I don't want to go back and kind of rehash all the same things that we talked about, like how you got in the sport and, of course, military and all the other stuff. But it's a fascinating story. So go back and check that out. Also make sure to hit the subscribe button. Most of the people that are watching this podcast on YouTube, a high percentage, like 71% do not subscribe. So it would help us if you click the subscribe button, like the podcast if you actually like it. If you don't, hey, I get it. Leave a comment that says that you don't like it and why at least we'll get your engagement that way.

From there, we're just going to jump right into this.

1:51.0

Jimmy has a 1401 bench, you know, so we'll just put that out there,

1:56.0

but there's an extensive bench history that we talked about that we'll get into as well.

2:06.1

I think a good place to jump off would be on Saturday you came out the bench.

2:06.9

I did.

2:07.2

Right.

2:08.4

And you had to pivot that.

2:13.6

And one of the things I try to get across through this podcast is at a certain point in time,

2:23.0

through any strength athlete's career, you've got to kind of learn how to pivot everything you know every aspect right right where you had to pivot you know the whole training session basically so the the plan was to come in and hit something around

2:28.8

you got 13-ish I was going to do something cool.

2:34.5

Yeah, something cool.

2:36.3

But yeah, no, pivoting.

2:37.8

No, I had a week.

2:40.2

I had one hell of a week with this weather, this very odd weather you all are having

2:43.8

up here.

2:44.5

So I was going to do something.
