I gotta tell you, it was slightly refreshing not having to keep up with Twitter and the

live stream, but man, screw Twitter.

Yeah, can we talk about that for a second?

We've always had so much fun using Twitter, basically live tweeting the event and seeing

everyone's reactions and retweeting all the funny stuff and getting all these great comments

from people and tweeting out quick little quips in real time at what's happening in the

event.

And Twitter is becoming a lot less of a fun place for lots of reasons, but one of them,

that's more recent, is when they took away the streaming API from third party clients

a couple of months ago now, I think it just sucks now.

You can still do it.

So you can either use Twitter's official apps which are terrible, especially on the Mac

or there's really not no good option.

By the way, I know there's some web view wrappers and stuff that wrap the Twitter website,

those suck too.

It's the people who work those, but just Twitter's upside suck.

So you're working with crap there.

So Twitter killed its own Mac app a while back now.

They made it so third party apps can't use streaming anymore.

And so what that means is you can still live tweet stuff on Twitter, but you have to go

keep hitting refresh on the timeline, scrolling to the top and refreshing it and waiting and

then seeing tweets pouring in big chunks.
