I'm guessing that this movie thinks that life begins at inception, but like the movie inception.

But this week, instead of watching a scary movie, we watched, I think an MC Esher directed movie called Nightmare No Street 5, The Dream Child.

Or as I call it dream, Todd, I just realized we didn't do a second laugh line, but fuck it. I'll figure out what you do now, because I also did not write anything else for the episode.

So I thought I come out strong and then just that be it.

And then just sit on my ass the rest of the time. So was this the first time either of you had seen this movie before?

Yes, I think I've seen this when I was younger. They all kind of blurred together. That's fair after about 10 years.

And this movie is like, old, this movie, the fifth in the franchise came out in 1989, baby. So like, here's the thing, the 90s ones, I remember being the weakest ones.

What?

Yeah, the one after this is the most hated, which is wild. Well, that and the reboot.

Here's what I loved about this film. Tell me everything. This film said, fuck it. Yes, faded rules of this franchise, throw them out.

They were just like, what if Freddie just showed up while I was diving or at dinner? And I was like, don't they have to fall asleep first?

No. And then the characters will be like, I guess she fell asleep diving or at dinner? And I was like, did they? They weren't even tired.

They're all narcoleptics and didn't know it. Like, this is their first bout with narcolepsy.

I was like, what's happening?

But then they tried to explain it with the whole, it's the baby dreaming, which then sent me down a terrifying Google rabbit hole that I will share with you later in this episode.
