Susan Schwarz

was in her mid-20s

she had graduated from school

she'd studied business

and she was working at a local firm.

The story takes place in Washington and the time is 1979.

On Monday, October the 22nd, her brother Gary, he was driving by his sister's house, so Gary lived nearby,

and he's driving by and he sees a lot of cars parked in Susan's driveway.

Now, he doesn't really think much of it.

He assumes she's just having some friends over.

The cars that he'd actually seen belonged to the local homicide department.

Unknown to her brother Gary, Susan had been shot and strangled in her home.
