We have to be where we are, be where your feet are, enjoy the season, tackle the challenges

together with your partner, with your friends, with whomever so that you're just, you're not wishing time

away. Like you're really happy to be in this phase because this phase is never coming back.

Okay guys, welcome to episode two of the Amy and Abby show. It's rebranded now.

So we today are going to talk about summer, summer break, and the things that we've learned over the years, what we're aiming for, our mindsets, just give you guys a bunch of lessons that we've learned the hard way. And I just think also some good

perspective as we all head into summer. Because before we got started, one thing we're talking

about is summer in the Midwest.

I can't speak for everywhere because this is I've only ever lived.

It is, I'm not going to say what we live for, but people in the Midwest get outside as much as they can.

Your calendar is booked with events,

parties, like seeing your friends. It is just something that we do here. So it does become really

full. And now that we all have kids, or a lot of us have kids, it can be fast pace. And so I think a lot of moms see that,

maybe dads too, as stressful. But I always like to ground myself and say, we said yes to all of this.

So we're the captains of the ship. If we wanted to say no more often,

because we wanted more free time, that is up to us. That's a choice. You don't have to say yes to
