Today, Eric Weinmeer.

He was the first blind person to reach the summit of Mount Everest.

He's also completed the seven summits, joining 150 mountain years at the time, who'd

accomplish that feat, but the only climber who was blind.

He learned how to rock climb at a young age.

Didn't need to see, because he felt his way around a lot of the time, which frankly

seems pretty dangerous, regardless of vision.

Eric told me that as a blind person, it sometimes feels like society is smothering him with

a blanket, assuming he can't do what sighted people can do.
