But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.

| 0:30.0 | as God sees it and as God communicates it. the truth in the word of God, the scriptures. |
| 0:37.0 | And so in the last few episodes we've been talking about the fact that we are redeemed |
| 0:42.3 | people. We are people who are fully accepted by the God of |
| 0:46.7 | the universe because of our faith in his son Jesus Christ and that there is |
| 0:51.1 | nothing we have to do to earn that salvation. |
| 0:55.0 | It is the free gift of God. |
| 0:58.0 | And so there's no more righteous acts that we have to perform in order to make God happy with us. |

| 1:07.2 | And I mentioned at the tail end of the last episode that that means that because we now are forgiven and we have the spirit of |
| 1:16.3 | Christ living in us, this thing that the Bible calls the fruit of the spirit flows out of us. |
