Now I'm coming off of a weekend spent with girlfriends and feeling on fire about the importance

of quality girl time.

I had a super busy weekend with a lot of car time but it was worth it because on each

side of the work I had to do was uninterrupted time with my most cherished girlfriends.

I got to spend 24 hours catching up with my college roommate and then had a spa day with

my Wisconsin girlfriends who I've missed so much since we moved last year.

Now, it was the first time in months that I was away from Conley overnight but I didn't

realize just how much I needed some quality girl time and time just being me and not the

mom version of me, which I love by the way, but it kind of felt nice to have a little

break.

Now, between the girl time was an event with Aryan.

At the event, I asked a room filled with women.

I said, is making friends as an adult hard for you to?

And I literally thought people's heads were going to fall off with the intensity of

the nods happening around the room.

And so today, let's talk about friendships.

You don't need me to tell you this because if you're an adult, you already know that

making friends is hard to freaking work between our jobs and our families and daily responsibilities

and errands and travel and stress the margin that's left over for making a new friend or

even just plain hanging out with the friends you already have is pretty non-existent.
