We'll never get back where we delve into the exciting world of Encyclopedia Brown, the Idaho boy detective, to see if Mike can get to the bottom of some of these mysteries that he has solved over the years,

some of them which are truly insane.

We had an insane one last time.

Like, I'm sure there were books flying all over libraries in the 60s of kids going,

what?

Or that, or going home and trying to test it, like getting their mom's

engagement ring and attaching it to an arrow and shooting it into the tree next to them.

Like, uh, cause encyclopedia Brown killed more kids than lawn darts, I think, over the years.

Do they do that at, uh, you know, when they, the people deface the art or whatever, like, I hear someone coming, quick, tie the Mona Lisa to an arrow and shoot it out of our window. To save it from. That is, wow, that's weird. Anyway, go, go back and listen to that one. Yes, listen to that one. That was good. That was the case of the Cupid's Arrow.

And this time, we're going to do one from the same book.

His fifth book, Encyclopedia Brown, solves them all from 1969, which was loaded with sort of crazy tales and even more insane solutions to mysteries.

This one is, these books, as we've discovered, are anachronistic.

They're written in the 60s, so they sometimes have, you know, terms you don't use anymore

or just things that take it, took on different contexts.

So this one is the case of the frightened playboy.

Kids, eh?

It reminds me of once I, when I was very young, my brothers wouldn't help me with a chore.

Okay.
