| 0:36.0 | but it was a good story. She said, when a person's on their deathbed, they never say, I sure wish I spent more time at work. But what do we wish |
| 0:47.5 | we spent more time at? In this journey we call life. What's important? I met a man once who didn't want to make enough |
| 0:57.4 | for himself. He wanted to make so much money so that even his grandchildren wouldn't have to worry about money. |

| 1:07.8 | Another person may say, I want to change the world. |
| 1:11.7 | I want to get into a position where I have a lot of influence |
| 1:15.0 | over other people and make huge differences on the lives of people. Is that what's |
| 1:21.2 | important? Or maybe it's discovering something that will help |
| 1:26.0 | humanity live a better life in the future like the cure to cancer. Is that what's |
| 1:32.2 | important? I mean the list can go on and on of what's |
| 1:36.7 | important. What are we here for? I think there's many ways to approach this question, but one of them is how do people do that |
| 1:46.7 | are pursuing things that perhaps we consider important? |
| 1:51.2 | And I think that's where biography, studying the lives of people who have lived lives that we may look up to and see how did their lives turn out. |
| 2:00.0 | The super wealthy did they turn out well. |
| 2:03.0 | The super famous did they turn out well. |
| 2:06.0 | The people that really give their lives to others. |
| 2:09.0 | Did that work for them? |
| 2:10.0 | And I think we'll find in all those situations that it didn't. |
| 2:16.3 | It doesn't always work when we sacrifice for others. |
