I said no one strives to lay hold of you and I said I will I want to I don't want to be I don't want to be complacent. I don't want to tell stories of what God used to do or what I experienced in the past.

I want the days in front of me to be the most fruitful I have ever known for the kingdom of

God.

I'm willing to rearrange my schedule, to reorient my time, to redirect my efforts.

I'm willing to discipline myself physically, to maintain the strength I need, or to get stronger if it'll help.

I intend to lay hold of what God created me for.

The talk today is really the result of some things God's been doing in my heart for the last six or eight weeks.

And so I finally just said, okay, I mean some pieces of this I've shared with you and

but collectively it's something the Lord is really he's put a new emphasis in my heart around it and the title is

when winning matters how many you've ever heard the expression it doesn't matter

whether you win or lose it's how you play the game well if you're playing

candy land I suppose that's okay.

But if you're engaged in something where the outcome matters, winning or losing matters.
