I mean, as of last week, he was still cranking along an amazing X-Men,

but that seems sort of divorced from general continuity,

so I think it's fair to say that he's dead for all practical purposes.

I mean, at least for now.

Okay, so how do you kill a guy with a healing factor?

Well, the Xavier protocols indicate decapitation,

but in the case of the death of Wolverine,

they just bypassed the issue entirely

by getting rid of his healing factor first.

How do you lose it?

Virus from the microverse.

It's the subatomic universe plus a bunch of Star Wars stuff with a serial numbers filed off.

I mean, would decapitation actually kill him, you know, with his healing factor and all?

Unlikely, I mean, at this point he survived not only ground zero at an atomic explosion but

having literally all of his soft tissue burned off by solar radiation I mean how can

he even survive that well he doesn't always and he was in hell for a while
