There we go. What's good. Thank you for tuning into another episode of the newest Olympian. My name is Mike Schubert. I'm the titular newest Olympian. I am a 30-year-old man who never read the Percy Jackson books as a kid, but I am writing that wrong by reading them as an adult and a quest to determine if this is a book series that we have all been collectively sleeping on. But I'm not on this quest alone. I am joined by a repeat guest, but this time in person here in the studio with me, it's Stephen Pahra, one of my best buds, Stephen, how's it going? It's great. Dude, this place is so cool.

It is very cool. I am very fortunate that I get to record out of here quite a bit. And I'm glad that you get to experience it now in its true intended purposes for recording a podcast. Yeah, this is awesome. I did get to pop in here from time to time to study, which was kind of cool, but now it's awesome to be on this side of the recording booth.

Yeah, we are here in the booth. We are here in the soundproofing. We are here to record. And we are here to continue discussing chapter six because we left off at a point, which was a good stopping point. But I'm going to get right back into it because we've

got a chariot race on our hands, and I say we just get right to it unless there's anything

you wanted to discuss beforehand. Yeah, anything I say is my opinion and mine alone.

Yay, there you go. Woo! Yay! Besides that, let's get to some of charity racing. Let's do it.

So where we last left our heroes, Annabeth was talking trash to Percy after he was trying to tell her about the Grover Dream situation. And she said, yeah, we can talk later after I kick your butt at chariot racing. So Percy's walking back to his chariot. And Percy notices even more pigeons than before. And as we know from this chapter title, there's going to be some sort of pigeon-related

incident.

And I was very nervous while reading this.

Oh, yeah.

And, you know, as I guess your Long Island representative at this moment, because no one else is,

I would say I feel like pigeons congregating in any trees in any magnitude is pretty unusual.

Right.

I've seen my fair share of pigeons in the city, but they do seem to be not in trees often. It's usually on the ground. I don't know if that's a real fries, pizza. But yeah, I usually see them, even in parks and stuff. They're usually on the ground. I mean, every now and then they'll hop up on a tree or something. There's a park near Kelly and I's place that's very pretty and nice.

And in the spring, they have lots of flowers and tulips and all that kind of stuff.

And there's this bird bath. And I do remember one time these tiny little birds, I don't know birds well enough to know what type they were. But these small little birds were around the fountain. and then all of the sudden big old pigeon coo-flfloups in on the tiny little bird bath water fountain.

And they got all spooked.

And then the pigeon was just, you know, I'm here now.

I want to drink water from the bird bath.
