Well, we are continuing our series today in interpreting the Bible and today we're

going to talk about some specific verses that are commonly misunderstood.

I think last time when we talked about misunderstood verses or misused verses, we were kind of

focusing on some that were taken out of context with a specific sort of theological bent

to try to make a point.

Whereas I think this time, these are more verses that I think people are misunderstanding

not necessarily intentionally.

And these are verses that I personally have not all of them, but some of these are on

my list of verses that I had misunderstood for most of my life.

And so I'm just being honest and saying that.

So if you haven't listened to part one of this series, I just highly recommend you listen

to that first because we've talked about a lot of principles in interpreting the Bible,

how to read the Old Testament versus how to read the New Testament, just some good principles

on what to think about when we read the Bible.

So definitely listen to that first.

But today we're going to get into actual specific verses.
