This is today in Parliament from BBC Radio 4.

For Friday, the 28th of March, when an MP wanted to see the back of failing water companies.

Those price-gouging, asset stripping, river-killing, vulture capitalist outfits, they'll be

rolled into the sunset without a penny in compensation.

The assisted dying bill returns to the floor of the Commons next month, but is there

enough time to debate the plans?

A bill has to get through its entire report stage in a single day.

Otherwise, it risks going to the back of the queue.

Also on the programme, a Conservative former health minister lambast's the manufacturers of unhealthy foods.

The junk food giants should be regarded as a leech on our public finances. But first, should

failing water companies be brought into public ownership? That suggestion is at the heart of the

water bill, a private member's bill introduced by the Labour MP Clive Lewis. It requires the

government to set out a water strategy, create a commission to look at water

ownership and value for money, and set up a citizen's assembly on water ownership.

Opening a debate on his proposals, Clive Lewis said Margaret Thatcher's privatisation of the industry

had cast a long shadow.

One thing is undeniable.

She proved the world can be made differently.

And if it can be made differently once, it can be made differently again.
