al-Afu. You start off, may Allah Almighty grant us the beginning of Ramadan, the end of Ramadan

on a note that is as high as it was and inshallah even higher. Amen. So the point I'm raising,

al-Afu is the forgiveness in the most holistic way.

Allah forgives such that nothing remains of the sin. No sign of it, no effect of it, no mention of it, and it will never ever be brought up again that is al-a-foo what have you done

you and I are human beings we've committed sins in our lives Allah says we give you an opportunity

that you achieve al-a-fou al-a-fouh Allahoimha huma, innhawun to hebbb uffw

ahu on me.

Oh Allah, you are

the one who grants afu.

You love to give afu, so grant me the

afu. That's what you are saying.

There is no English word that translates afu.

Because a foo is not mere forgiveness.

If Allah has granted you afu, there will never ever be any effect of any of the sins that you have committed in this world or the next? No, it's gone.

That is a foo. So this night is the night of Afu. Evidence of it is in the hadith of the prophet

Muhammad, Peace be upon him, wherein he speaks to Aisha, Radiallahi'u anha, having been asked a question,

if I were to witness the night of decree, Leilatul-Qadr, what should I do or say? He says, say, Allahum, innachau-un to hebbl affua, fa affua'-a-a-a-a-fani. So it's the night of aufu. If you are addressing the one who loves to forgive.

What does that mean?

That means he just wants you to show the slightest sign

that you want that forgiveness and he will give it to you.
