Now, when you're telling stories and you're thinking about problems, a big mistake most coaches make is they think like, place inside of their head, right? They want to have their pre-baby body back. Maybe it's, they want to not end up like their family members who have diabetes or they want to be able to

0:24.4

have sex with the lights on or to stop crying when they buy a size bigger again or to slay on that

0:29.4

first day. You got to, you got to go a level deeper and really enter in the conversation that

0:33.5

they're actually having, not what you just think they want. All right. So what I always like to do is like to

0:38.7

start with the pain point. What's the pain that your client's in? Start with one pain point and then think

0:43.9

about how you can tell a story around this. What's up squad? Welcome back to the flow state of mind.

0:49.3

Man, I always do that. Welcome to the FitBiz podcast and really excited today to talk to you all around how to tell

0:55.6

client generating stories in your content. All right, how to implement and to incorporate,

1:00.7

you know, copywriting techniques, storytelling techniques in order to change your prospects,

1:05.3

beliefs in order to create connection and ultimately to get them to want to work with you

1:09.4

or just to tell a good story to provide value

1:11.6

because that's fine too. You know, it's always great to just give. And I think this is going to be a

1:15.9

powerful episode. I'm really excited today because I'm in my new office setup, right? So we got

1:19.1

a whole new studio set up in my office with better video content. Hopefully the audio is coming

1:24.6

through fine. This is going to allow me just to put out better, more quality podcast on a more regular basis because I don't have to like go down into our studio and sit all that bullshit up. So let's just jump in guys. First, I want to explain like how storytelling actually affects the brain. So a few things happen here that are really interesting. Number one, it elicits dopamine. So the brain releases a certain amount of dopamine when it experience an emotional change

1:46.1

or emotionally charged event, making it easier to remember with greater accuracy.

1:50.8

So they're going to remember you better as a result of this, right?

1:53.6

Neuro coupling.

1:54.6

What happens here with neural coupling is when you tell a story, it activates parts of the brain

1:58.8

that allow the listener to turn the story into their own idea and experience through this process, also mirroring. Okay, listeners not only

2:05.5

experience the similar brain activity, but like they've done studies where they show like

2:10.0

somebody telling a story and then somebody listening to the story. And it actually shows that
