And it started the late 90s, you started to see foreign investment and not from China like people think for us, it was Germans.

They were being recruited to buy fields for the corporate farmers.

Hey, you want to invest money, buy this field, we'll rent it for them.

So, I mean, I can look at, there's three fields.

I'm looking at the door of our barn. I see three of them that are owned by investment groups.

You know, nobody that's ever going to set foot or ever actually physically see that land owns it.

There used to be five farmsteads with an eyesight of where I'm at now.

We're down to one besides mine.

It's just people are leaving.

The money wasn't the air there, the 80s.

Part of it was the 60s and 70s were real good farmers.

People started to get stretched out further than they should.

The 80s broke them.
