first of all, I thought I'd share an embarrassing experience from my own life to demonstrate

how I dealt with embarrassment. And also I'm excited because I know embarrassment can be a real

challenge for many people. So hopefully this episode will be helpful for anyone

who wants to let go of embarrassment a little more easily. So this episode was inspired by a

slightly embarrassing experience I had a couple of days ago that actually shook me up a little bit.

So my partner, Deck and I went on an adventure on the weekend.

We went out for lunch with some friends and that was really nice. Then Deck and I decided to visit

a local gin distillery. Anyway, we had a really lovely time in the sunshine and we chatted

with the owners for a little while who were very, very

nice. It was a seriously beautiful spot and we mentioned that we'd be back with our friends and

our family in the future. So as the designated driver, I was going to drive home and the car park

was very tight and a bit difficult to navigate and it had this really steep dirt driveway.

Now if you've listened to this podcast for a while, you'll already know that I can be a bit of a

nervous driver. But anyway, I started reversing very slowly and everything looked fine.

Then I managed to hit a pole that was so low I couldn't see it in any of my

mirrors. Because I was going so slow, it was all fine, but I immediately felt that flame of embarrassment

rushing through me. My cheeks grew warm, my chest felt tighter, my stomach knotted up, I just wanted to
