discussing the healing of a blind man and Jesus' subsequent teaching on a different kind of blindness.

Yep, I don't know if Jesus is going to let us religious folk have too much of a rest here.

I'm just going to keep on going. I'm just going to keep on going until those religious folk kill him.

Spoiler alert, but yeah, just more stories providing us more opportunities to reflect.

I get pretty riled up in this chapter, but nobody seems to want to kill him this time, so.

True. This is true. It feels like we're working with a fair sacco crowd. A lot of these stories

you've been dealing with a very Judean crowd. We would assume more chief priests, more sadgers,

see more Herodian. I think would be a safe assumption. It's no better than an assumption, but

probably a safe assumption here. We still may have Judeans, and I wonder if that even

shapes some of the story. We might pull that in a little bit later, but Pharisees, in particular,

of the world of the synagogue and of religious devotion. I think we pointed out in session three.

The Pharisees are not typically, we have corrupt Pharisees that are working with the chief priests.

We have Pharisees that are working with the Sadducees. In general, the fair sacco worldview is not

the world be let's trying to kill Jesus. They may not like what he says, but some of them do, and

maybe most of them don't, maybe some of them don't, but they're not out to kill the guy.

But you're out. We don't see that in this chapter. It's a nice change of pace for the gospel of John.

Perhaps a nice change of pace for Jesus. Maybe it was a little bit of respite.

Can we just have a conversation here? Can we just have a church argument?
