Goldie-looking chain aka real person John Rutledge. It's such a pleasure to talk to

John he's a really fun and excited and excitable funny guy and he's had an extraordinary life story from

starting off making little raps in his mates sitting room to achieving an incredible level of success, becoming viral before being viral was a thing

with this rap group, Goldie Looking Chain.

Now if you've not heard of them, they had some chart topping success in the UK and I suppose

you could call them I don't know I mean I think there is sort of a precursor to people like

Lonely Island who described themselves as fake rap. I don't know whether the chain

would call themselves that exactly but we will talk about the difference exactly how real

they are. We'll talk about the world they inhabit and how the I think the

beginnings of that band were steeped in a love of the sort of the inter-song

skits in rap groups from Delasol's Three Feet High and Rising and

more.
