And two, if I see, is the feature-length documentary directed by Justin Purser that charts

the lives of twin brothers, CJ and Davian Hobgood, from humble beginnings on the space

coast of Florida to a world title, a few near-death wipeouts, marriages, children, divorce.

The film is an unflinching look at the fast-paced life of being a professional

surfer on the world tour, access to every vice, having piles of money one year, and then very

little income the next. And while all of this kind of creates a really interesting and

entertaining circumstance, and it certainly offers

a fun peek behind the curtain of pro surfing.

The tension in the film is centered around identity.

It's also the heart of the film, twin rivalry.

CJ and Damien are born into a unique circumstance with a bizarrely similar world-class talent

and they spend their lives trying to elevate one

another and simultaneously subvert each other, or at the very least, just outperform one another.

The film is yet to be digitally released, but I'll keep you posted on when that happens.

Screenings have been hitting the East Coast. They're going to be on the

West Coast of the United States next week. Thursday, July 25th at the Lido Theater in

Newport Beach and then Friday, July 26th at La Paloma in Incinitas. I highly

recommend that you secure tickets in advance as both events will sell out.
