| 0:46.0 | Today we're going to be talking about the importance of protecting your commitment. |
| 0:53.0 | Over the course really this year we have been talking a lot about identifying the things that get you off track of God's plan, identifying the things that separate you from God and really just keeping your flesh and check. |
| 1:05.0 | So that you can stay committed to what God has you to do in both your life and your business. |
| 1:11.0 | So for me over the last couple of weeks, life smacked me in the face. |
| 1:16.0 | And my emotions about it began to create a wedge between me and God. |
| 1:25.0 | And I want to talk about this because this is real life. We get hurt things happen, you know, people might pass away, you experience losses, you may go through divorce, you may lose a job like tragedy happens. |
| 1:42.0 | And tragedy and our emotions behind the tragedy are a very effective way for the enemy to drive a wedge between you and God. And it oftentimes catapults a lot of us into performance to where we're doing all the things to make it look like we are on track and on pace with God. |
| 2:06.0 | And emotionally we're disconnected and that that intimacy with God is just not there. And that's a very dangerous place to be in. And if we're not cognizant of it, it could cause a lot more harm than good. |
| 2:19.0 | And this podcast has always been about true relationship with God, not religion, not the mask that you're taught in church, or what you need to do to look as if you're a Christ light, but I'm talking about true relationship with God, true transformation, true commitment to him. |
| 2:37.0 | And the things that he has for you to do to him and his word true righteousness, all of that and not just deed, but in your heart posture and your commitment that people don't see. |
| 2:49.0 | And what's interesting is that during this time period over the last couple of weeks, so for me, without going into too much detail, I prefer to process pain privately. |
| 3:00.0 | And that's when I think about the lesson comes up, that's relevant that I believe other people can connect to that's what I choose to bring it to the podcast or my YouTube channel and things like that, but the details of my situation aren't really necessary. |
| 3:13.0 | And I believe that in this social media influence or age, people feel like they need to have a full past access to your life or if you're sharing trauma that means you're real and relatable. And if your life is organized, that means that it's fake. |
| 3:26.0 | I don't think that that's true. And I want this this platform has always been not necessarily about me, but for me, just being a mouthpiece to what you may be feeling and helping you navigate that so that you can stay connected to God and grow in both your faith and your business. |
| 3:43.0 | And being life happened, right, I was very hurt and heartbroken by the situation that I found myself in. And I noticed that my feelings began to draw a wedge between me and God. |
