Okay. Chris Stone, aka Galley is the head coach for the United States Olympic surf team.

His qualifications for that role came from years spent on tour traveling with and coaching Jordy Smith and the Hobgood's before him, as well as many other notable athletes as they make

their way to the World Championship Tour. As a professional surfer, Stone qualified for the CT in

1995. He was the first surfer from Santa Cruz to do so.

While on tour, he won the Margaret River Pro.

He won the Coldwater Classic twice back to back,

and he got second at G-Land.

Since retiring from Pro Surfing,

he relocated to the North Shore

and began shaping surfboardsboards raising a family and helped

usher in this era of the professional surf coach hence his new role with the Olympics so in this chat

we cover most of what you'll need to know about surfing in the Olympics he addresses whether or not

surfing in the Olympics is even good for surfing

at large. He advises on how to make an objective judging criteria. He comments on Jordy's title

run this year, as well as Jordy's greatest areas for improvement. And he also details the quiver

that Galley's been working on this entire year for Jordi.
