the teacher will appear? That happens sometimes when I am talking to a podcast guest, and that

happened on this episode. So to give you a little background, ever since my kids went back to school, I expected to

feel amazing and I would have all this free time and be productive.

My body had other thoughts.

I entered into an utter and complete state of exhaustion and practical non-functioning.

And it took me a visit with a coach and a couple of friends before I realized, oh, my body feels safe.

Now it's going to process the past year, which included three hospital visits, deep suicidal ideation by one of my

kids, being with my six kids a whole lot, plus my spouse, you get the drill. We've all had things.

And as my coach friend said, when people go through a natural disaster, they don't just bounce back. The research is

clear. Why are we all thinking we need to get back to our pre-pandemic selves when, in fact,

we probably need to integrate and heal and find a new norm? So if that's you, I'm going to talk
