I've been on sabbatical this month of August, but you probably didn't know that because

we've been providing you with new episodes here on the podcast each week while I'm gone.

But this week, I've picked an encore episode for you that is perfectly time for this season.

In fact, when I previewed this one for inserting it into this week's slot, it was fun to

hear my intro the last time this one aired two years ago.

And I was on my sabbatical then as well, but during the intro, I was talking about getting

us all ready for fall vegetable gardening because this is that time of year to be doing it.

Growing seeds indoors, if you haven't started already or shopping for your seeds or seed

lanes or sewing seeds directly outside.

So even if you've heard this one before when it first aired, it's well worth hearing

again as we head into September in the very near future.

Can you believe it?

And if you are growing your own food, even a little bit, but you're not growing cool season

crops like lettuce and spinach and kale and broccoli, just to name a few, you are missing

out on the best part of vegetable gardening, I think at least.
