Welcome to the happiness podcast. I'm Dr. Robert Puff. Over the years, I've been teaching a lot of different aspects of happiness and how to have a good life. But every once in a while, I think it's important to have reminders of what are the key aspects of having a good life and making our lives go well.

0:31.0

Because I think sometimes we get overwhelmed by having ideas and suggestions given to us.

0:37.5

And sometimes it can be really helpful just having a couple things that we can look at throughout the day to remind us of what

we're focused on in order to have a life that goes well for us.

So today I want to talk about two key factors of living the good life. Here they are.

1:01.0

One is having a childlike curiosity about life and the other is kindness,

tasted a ice cream, he didn't know what to think, but after it touched his

1:52.1

tongue and went into his mouth, this huge smile came on his face,

1:57.9

and you can see such joy in him for the experience of that ice cream.

2:03.8

And I'm sure we all have memories like this, the first time we see or taste or feel or

2:09.9

experience something, it truly takes our breath away. I remember the first time seeing the

2:15.8

Grand Canyon here in the United States. It was truly breathtaking. Or one time when I was visiting Barcelona, Spain, and I went into the Basilica of the Sacred Family

2:29.7

or Las Agrata.

2:31.9

I had no idea what to expect when I walked in there, but when I saw the light shining

2:37.4

against the floor and the opposite wall and the intricacies within the cathedral.

2:43.7

I was love speechless.

2:46.3

We all have experiences like this, but really the key of life is to keep these experiences that we have alive and fresh, where we see things

3:00.0

as much as possible with child-like eyes for the first time.
