Summary

Losing a loved one leaves us feeling like we’re at the effect of circumstances in life we didn’t and would never ask for. While we can’t change the significant loss we experience in grief, we can intentionally choose our internal experience of how we respond to life.

Learn why choosing helpful thoughts in grief matters, how the intentional thoughts you choose can shape your grief experience, and a list of helpful thoughts I encourage you to borrow.

1:52.9

You've probably heard me say that quite a lot of times. That's my favorite definition.

1:57.6

And even though we expect them at some point to go away, to not live with us forever, it still can feel like a loss to us when a child goes away to college.

2:07.5

There's no right or wrong way to experience it.

2:09.5

But what makes our experience harder is when we tell ourselves that we're the only ones who feel this way, we shouldn't feel this way. We're feeling this way too
